Police say candy bandit turned himself in

WEATHERSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – A man accused of stealing candy from a truck several stores in Trumbull County turned himself in to police.

Weathersfield police say James DePizzo, 44, surrendered to authorities Thursday.

A warrant for DePizzo’s arrest was issued after police say he stole $300 worth of candy from the Pilot Truck Stop on Salt Springs Road.

Some items taken include cases of Skittles and chocolate candy bars.

DePizzo was in court Thursday where he pleaded not guilty.
