Road crews ready for another round

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio and Pennsylvania departments of transportation are ready for Sunday’s expected snowfall.

PennDOT started making their plan Friday with a meeting of district foremen during a statewide web conference.

Each district shared their plan of attack for the incoming weather.

Both Ohio and Pennsylvania have plenty of salt to get them through this latest bout of wintry weather.

ODOT has about 32,000 tons of salt. PennDOT will be working with about 4,000 tons of salt and 45,000 gallons of brine.

Crews spent most of the day pre-treating the roadways and are not expecting any major problems.
