Small voices deliver divine message

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – About 70 kids from different churches across the Valley gathered Saturday to put their singing skills to the test.

The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown sponsored its Youth Choir festival at Saint Columba Cathedral.

Rehearsals began at noon and the young singers performed as part of the 4:30 p.m. Mass.

The youth choir director explained how the event helps bring the diocese together.

“We’ve advertised this opportunity for a Diocesan Youth Choir to come together and to sing the music of liturgy of our church, said Director Barb Zom.

The performances ranged from classical to the contemporary.
