YSU ready for Oakland rematch

The YSU men hope the third time is a charm against Oakland this week.  The Penguins will try to avoid a third loss this season to the Grizzlies in the opening round of the Horizon League Tournament.

With the 87-81 loss Saturday, YSU fell to the 7th seed in the tournament, and will now have to go on the road to rematch with 6th seeded Oakland.

“At this point, obviously, you have a rough feeling in the back of your mind,” said senior guard Kendrick Perry. “So with that in mind, we’re going to be ready on Tuesday.”

The game is set to to tip off at 7 p.m. at the the Athletics Center O’rena. The winner will face #3 Green Bay Friday.
