Man convicted in double slaying

Court jury jail law order cell prison

PITTSBURGH (AP) – A jury in western Pennsylvania has convicted a man of wounding his friend and killing a woman and her son during a 2012 home invasion near Pittsburgh.

Andre Lamar Davis, 22, of Pittsburgh was found guilty in Allegheny County Court on Tuesday in the deaths of Angela Proctor, 51, and Manning Proctor, 22, on March 13, 2012.

The jury also convicted Davis of attempted homicide and aggravated assault for wounding his longtime friend, Andre Frazier.

Davis will be sentenced on June 4 to a mandatory prison sentence of life without the possibility of parole.

Police have said they believe Frazier was the target and Davis killed the Proctors because they were witnesses.
