Parker Hannifin workers OK contract

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Union workers at Parker Hannifin have a new contract.

One-hundred and twenty-three workers in the gear pump division took the vote on Tuesday, with 77 workers approving the contract and 46 voting against it. The global company is a manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems. Their biggest clients are John Deere and Caterpillar.

The workers belong to United Steel Workers Local 2332. A vote last week ended in a tie, so it was back to the ballot box on Tuesday following re-negotiations.

Details of the new contact have not been released.
