Crews work to repair water line break

CAMPBELL, Ohio (WKBN) – Crews in Campbell are working to repair a water line break in the city.

The break happened about 9 a.m. Wednesday at the corner of 12th Street and Devitt Avenue, near the post office.

Although water was ponding on nearby lawns, workers said it could have been a lot worse. Backhoe operator Juan Miranda said that potholes could have easily formed if there wasn’t 4 inches of concrete under the 2 inches of asphalt.

Miranda said the harsh temperatures this winter are likely to blame for the break.

Repairs should be complete Wednesday afternoon.
