Mooney’s Marrow to CFL’s Eskimos

Cardinal Mooney graduate Desmond Marrow has signed a contract with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadien Football League.

He’s currently working out at MAX’s Athletic Training in Boardman getting ready for the upcoming CFL season.

The former Toledo Rocket previously spent some time in the NFL with both the Houston Texans and  Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  He is expected to compete for a starting cornerback position, and is thrilled to continue his playing career north of the border.

“It’s just exciting to still be able to play football at the professional level, no matter what the level may be, Marrow said.”  “Now I just kinda look at it as a job. I still get paid to play football. It doesn’t get any better than that. I’ve been playing football since I was little. So, just to continue to live my dreams out in some fashion is good.”

Marrow leaves for mini-camp at the end of April, with training camp slated for June.
