Officer’s wife charged in teen party case

GIRARD, Ohio (WKBN) – The wife of a Girard police officer has been charged in connection with an underage drinking party that happened at the couple’s home.

According to our print partner the Tribune Chronicle, Kandy Neely’s attorney entered a not guilty plea on her behalf Tuesday in court. She is charged with an offense involving underage drinking, which is a misdemeanor.

Kandy Neely is the wife of Patrolman Larry Neely who is currently serving a 20-day suspension for admitting he was aware his step-son was hosting the gatherings.

The step-son has also been charged with a misdemeanor in connection to the parties. His attorney entered a not guilty peal on his behalf.
