Gas prices causing pain for local drivers

Gas prices have crept up of late across the nation, and Ohio is no exception.

According to the American Automotive Association, which monitors fuel prices, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded gas in the Youngstown-Warren area is $3.59.

Some stations in the Valley are charging as much as $3.75 for regular gas.

Last week, the area average was $3.52.  A month ago, the average was $3.30 per gallon.

The national average sat at $3.49 per gallon as of a Tuesday news release from AAA.
