Poland punches ticket to Regional Finals

Poland has advanced to the Division II Regional Finals following a 60-52 win over Cleveland Central Catholic Thursday night.

Kyle Dixon led the Bulldogs with a team-high 18 points, including a clutch three-pointer with under two minutes to play. Dixon also dished out 5 assists in the win.

Jake Wolfe added a double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists before fouling out in the fourth quarter.  Dan Black finished with 15 points and 5 boards for the Bulldogs.

Tervell Beck led the Ironmen with 18 points and 5 rebounds.  Antwon Lillard added 12 points in the loss.

Poland advances to face top-seeded and defending state runner-up Akron Saint Vincent-Saint Mary in the Division II Regional Finals Saturday at 1pm at the Canton Civic Center.

Cleveland Central Catholic ends the season with a record of 19-7.
