Lane addition project clogs 224 traffic

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — A road project to add lanes to the bridge portion of U.S. Route 224 over Interstate 680 started Tuesday morning.

Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation were out setting up the construction zone Tuesday.

The east and westbound lanes of 224 will be cut down to one lane from Tiffany Boulevard to the I-680 entrance ramp throughout the duration of the project.

ODOT is adding a lane to each side of the bridge. The project is expected to be completed by October.
