Judge turns down CSB settlement agreement

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Trumbull County judge denied a settlement agreement between the Trumbull County Children Services Board and the adoptive parents of a girl who was assaulted at CSB facilities.

Probate Judge Thomas Swift denied approval Thursday of a $150,000 agreement between CSB and the adoptive parents of a 9-month-old girl who was raped by her parents during a partially supervised visit.

Adoptive parents sue CSB for $3 million

The case will now be sent back to federal court for additional settlement talks or possibly a trial.

Judge Swift agreed with the guardian of the girl who said the family should have settled for a larger amount.
