Police nab robber in church parking lot

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) –  A police officer in the right place at the right time nabbed a suspect wanted in an armed robbery of a Warren restaurant.

Police say Brandon Cox, 18, robbed the Arby’s restaurant on Market Street just after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

According to a police report, Cox held a gun to the cashier’s head and demanded from the cash register and took off.

A Warren police officer saw Cox, who matched the description of the robber, running through a church parking lot. The officer arrested Cox.

Cox is currently being held in the Trumbull County Jail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 27.
