Roommate charged after body found in shed

STOW, Ohio (AP) – A roommate of a 21-year-old northeast Ohio woman found dead beneath blankets in a backyard shed has been charged in her death.

Authorities said the body of Michelle Johnson was found Saturday in a shed near the duplex where Roxanne Lee Buck, 44, rented a room from Johnson’s mother. An autopsy showed the 21-year-old Johnson suffered sharp-force neck injuries.

A news release from Stow police says they arrested Buck on Thursday. She is charged with murder and evidence tampering in Johnson’s death.

Buck was being held in jail on $1 million bond. Stow Municipal Court records listed no attorney for her.

Police said they found Johnson’s blood on items in Buck’s car. Police said the motive for Johnson’s killing is unclear.
