Man indicted in newspaper carrier shooting

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Trumbull County grand jury indicted a man on Thursday who police said fired shots at a pair of newspaper carriers earlier this year.

Warren police said Darren Lee, 27,  fired shots at Mike Young and his daughter, Jennifer, 18, when they stopped in front of a home on West Avenue N.W. to deliver a Warren Tribune Chronicle Jan. 31.  Several shots hit their car.

Lee was arrested a short time later at the intersection of Idylwild Avenue and Blair Avenue N.W. Police said they found a 9-millimeter gun on him, as well as drugs.

Lee was indicted on charges of felonious assault, possession of heroin and cocaine, carrying a concealed weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
