Coroner: Ohio man’s death on bridge was accidental

ST. MARYS, Ohio (AP) – A coroner in western Ohio says the death of a man found hanging upside-down from a creek bridge was accidental.

Auglaize (AWE’-glaze) County Coroner. Thomas Freytag says all indications are that the man died because he was unable to breathe.

The county sheriff’s office says the body of 36-year-old Richard Moon was found nearly two weeks ago hanging from the bridge outside St. Marys, his leg caught in a guardrail support.

Moon’s car was found wrecked nearby.

Sheriff Allen Solomon tells The Lima News nothing was found at the scene to indicate Moon’s death was anything but an accident.
