Cortland woman given court summons for false alarms

CORTLAND, Ohio (WKBN) — Police issued a court summons to 22-year-old Priscilla Wooten of Cortland after she placed a sign reading “Help” in the window of her friend’s vehicle Saturday afternoon.

A caller who saw the sign informed police that the vehicle was traveling north on Ohio State Route 11 around 8 p.m. Saturday.

Police tracked down the vehicle at a BP gas station on State Route 46. Wooten said she put the sign there to “screw around,” according to the police report. Wooten was then issued a citation for making false alarms.
