PITTSBURGH (AP) – The Allegheny County district attorney’s office has dropped charges against a man accused of killing one man and wounding four others in a Pittsburgh bar shooting.
Defense attorney Ken Haber says Monday’s decision resulted after video evidence supported his claim that 23-year-old Corey Clark, of Penn Hills, wasn’t the shooter.
Haber says Clark was at the Rendezvous Phase III bar when the shooting happened about 1 a.m. March 1 – but says video shows him diving for cover, not pulling the trigger.
District attorney’s spokesman Mike Manko says the investigation was continuing.
Pittsburgh police charged Clark after witnesses identified him as the shooter. But Haber says the video showed the shooter was larger than Clark and left-handed, while Clark is right-handed.
Twenty-seven-year-old Vincent Holt Jr., of Pittsburgh, died in the shooting.
