Patrol investigates fatal accident in Austintown


AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident in Austintown.

The accident happened at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday on the Route 46 entrance ramp to Interstate 80 in Austintown.

According to the patrol, Angelo Tabachino, 24, of Warren, Oh., hit a guard rail and flipped the 2000 GMC Sierra truck he was driving. He was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Tabachino was not wearing a seat belt. Troopers said alcohol and speed are also factors in the crash.

The entrance ramp to I-80 was blocked for about two hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
