Driver tries to run over woman at Warren gas station

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A feud between two women in a gas station parking lot in Warren ended with one woman getting pepper sprayed and the other almost run over by a SUV.

According to police reports, Barbara Jackson, 17, and two passengers stopped at the USA Gas Mart on Pine Avenue about 9 p.m. Tuesday when an SUV pulled into the parking lot. A woman in the SUV waved at Jackson and Jackson waved back.

After that, Jackson said the SUV pulled forward and attempted to block her in. One suspect got out of the SUV and started yelling at Jackson and told her to get out of the car and opened the door to pull her out. That is when Jackson pulled out her pepper spray and discharged the spray into the suspect’s face.

The suspect got back in the SUV, pulled forward and hit the front of Jackson’s car. When Jackson got out of the vehicle the woman driving the SUV backed up, accelerated and attempted to run Jackson over. One of the passengers that was in Jackson’s car exited the store, saw what was happening, and pulled Jackson out of the path of the SUV.

Police have obtained surveillance video from the store and have a license plate number and description of the suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
