Fashion show benefits local animal shelter

GIRARD, Ohio (WKBN) — People and their furry friends walked the runway Sunday during an event benefiting a Trumbull County Animal Shelter.

The Animal Welfare League held its 30th Annual Fashions for Compassion fashion show at the Mahoning Country Club. Some of the models walked the runway with their dogs, and others strutted down the runway alone.

The theme for this year’s show was The Great Gatsby.

The event also included a dinner and a silent auction.

WYTV’s Len Rome and Greta Mittereder emceed the show.

The money raised will go the shelter to help with operations.
