Route 62 reopens after crashes

SALEM, Ohio (WKBN) — Both lanes of U.S. Route 62 between state Route 165 and the Columbiana County line are now open after being closed for several hours Monday afternoon because of a crash.

There actually was two crashes in the area, according to ODOT workers, and both involved semi trucks. One was on Route 62 near North Lincoln Avenue.

As Goshen Township Police were directing traffic from that crash,  a second one occurred on Route 62 near Pine Lake Road after a semi could not stop on time as the traffic backed up. The semi pulled down utility poles and wires were laying across the road.

No one was injured.
