Man shot to death outside western Pa. bar

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) – Authorities say a man was shot to death in the parking lot of a western Pennsylvania bar over the weekend.

Police in Cambria County say the gunfire occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday outside Edder’s Den in Johnstown’s West End.

Deputy Coroner Jeffrey Lees said the victim was taken to Conemaugh hospital in Johnstown but died in the emergency room. His name was not released.

Sgt. Patrick Goggin told The (Johnstown) Tribune-Democrat that preliminary reports indicate that neither victim nor shooter were patrons of the bar.

He said police were interviewing “persons of interest” but there were no immediate reports of arrests.
