CAMPBELL, Ohio (WKBN) — Three Youngstown men are at the Mahoning County Jail after a weekend traffic stop in Campbell resulted in the seizure of drugs and cash.
Daniel Paris, 46, Laytton Lenior, 34, and Devyn Bellamy, 33, were arraigned Tuesday in Campbell Municipal Court on charges of felony drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lenoir also is facing a charge of obstruction after police said he gave them a false identity during his arrest.
Campbell police said two officers on patrol stopped a vehicle about 5:30 p.m. Saturday for a traffic violation on Coitsville Road near Neoka Avenue. Officers said drug paraphernalia, including a digital scale, was in plain view in the car, which led to a search of the vehicle by K-9 unit Storm.
During the search, police found nearly 10 grams of crack cocaine, baggies of marijuana, a straw used for snorting cocaine with residue on it, and nearly $8,000 in cash. The drugs and paraphernalia were found in the vehicle and on the suspects, police said.
The three are due back in court later this month.
