Smiles bright at Trumbull County school

NORTH BLOOMFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Kids at Mesopotamia Elementary in North Bloomfield are showing off shiny new smiles.

The school became the first ever in Trumbull County to host the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.

This state-of-the-art vehicle travels the world delivering pediatric health care services. It has two patient exam rooms, a lab and a reception area.

This week, the staff is providing dental care.

“They start on day one. We had about 63 students just get screened, which included x-rays, cleaning and fluoride. Tuesday through Friday they do fillings, extractions and sealants at no charge to the parent regardless of insurance,” said Ashley Klaric, school nurse.

Klaric said they are so impressed with the Care Mobile they already have it scheduled to come back next year.
