Restaurant reopens after oven fire

BAZETTA, Ohio (WKBN) — The Perkins Restaurant on Elm Road in Bazetta was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after an oven fire, but it has since reopened.

Fire departments from several companies responded and extinguished the fire.

Bazetta Township Fire officials said the fire was small and contained to the oven. A motor in an oven caught fire and started smoking, so the fire department was called out.

Once they determined what it was, they cleared the scene and the health department gave the OK to reopen. The whole incident took about one hour.
