The second round of the 27th annual KO Drugs High School Boxing Tournament took place Thursday at the North Lima Business Complex. Some of the best boxers in the area competed in semifinal matches, with the winners to be decided next week.
Farrell High School dominated the night. Re’yan Hammonds and Portez Smith won matches, and will face each other in the Bantamweight Class final next week. Junior lightweight Malick Moody won by TKO over South Range’s John Kolarik. In the lightweight class, Farrell’s Terrance Holloway won by TKO over Harding’s Chris Robinson. Holloway will face Austin Gibson next week.
The finals conclude next Thursday at 7 p.m., where 27 titles will be decided, 23 on the boys side, four on the girls side, with three consolation bouts.
