Fugitive indicted for attempted murder

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A man wanted for a March 15 attempted murder was indicted Thursday by a Mahoning County grand jury.

Dashonti Baker, 22, of Youngstown, was indicted on charges of attempted murder and two counts of felonious assault, all with firearms specifications.

Baker is wanted in connection to the March 15 attempted murder of Jaquez Brown. Baker allegedly shot Brown in the head in a parking lot at the corner of South Avenue and Dewey Avenue in Youngstown.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force earlier this week was offering a reward for information that leads to Baker’s arrest. He is not at the Mahoning County Jail, but it is unknown if he has been arrested.
