Youngstown police charge man in October car accident death

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A Youngstown man has been charged for driving the van that struck and killed a man who was raking leaves in his yard in October.

Allan Lee Jr., 40, is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, a second-degree misdemeanor. Police said Lee was driving on Glenwood Avenue when he lost control and struck Earl Douthitt, 61, on Oct. 28.

Investigators said drugs and alcohol were not involved in the crash.

A court date has not yet been set.
