Boardman police search for pharmacy robber

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — Police are looking for a man who robbed a CVS late Friday night of thousands of dollars worth of painkillers.

According to police, a white man in his late 20s or early 30s held up the Market Street pharmacy about 11:30 p.m.

Employees told officers he showed them a “large, silver handgun,” but did not fire any shots.

While they didn’t have an exact dollar amount, police said the robber got away with thousands of dollars worth of Oxyxcodone.

No one was injured, and the robber ran from the store.

Six township officers responded and with the help of a Canfield police K-9, tracked a scent for a short distance before losing it.

Police said they will examine the store’s surveillance footage.

If you have any information, police ask that you call 330-726-4144 and ask for Det. Sgt. Glen Riddle.
