YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Now that winter is behind us, it’s time for road work season.

There are a series of projects running Monday through September.

The U.S. Route 422 bridge over U.S. Route 62/State Route 7 will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

The U.S. Route 62 northbound ramp to U.S. Route 422 westbound will be closed. The detour will be Albert Street to West Rayen Avenue.

U.S. Route 422 eastbound to U.S. Route 62 northbound will be closed. The detour will be U.S. Route 422 to Oak Street to Albert Street.

The work is the beginning of a $1.7 million dollar project to re-deck the Route 422 ramp over U.S. Route 62/State Route 7.
