MetroParks Farm celebrates ‘baby shower’

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – The public got a chance to see some of the tiniest and cutest animals Sunday at Mill Creek MetroParks Farm Animal Baby Shower.

Families saw a variety of baby animals such as baby chicks, pigs and goats, just to name a few.

Most of the animals stay at the MetroParks farm all year and others were brought in strictly for the Baby Shower.

“Some of them are as young as just a few hours old. We had chicks hatch in the incubator, all the way up to babies that are six weeks old to two months,” said MetroParks spokesperson Brenda Markley. “We still have a few animals on the grounds that are still expecting.”

Sunday’s event was the official opening of the Mill Creek MetroParks Farm. The public can view the animals Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
