Youngstown police probe phony 911 call

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Several police cars and ambulances were sent to the South Side Sunday night.

A call came in from Judson Avenue that two young boys had been shot. This happened just two blocks away from where a 9-year-old girl was shot last week.

According to a recording of the 911 call, the caller tells a dispatcher “we’ve got people over here shooting. They’ve got guns and stuff out.”

The dispatcher asks if someone is shot and the caller says “yeah. two little boys.”

The call turned out to be a prank. Police said making a fake 911 call is a crime.

Police said they’re looking for the two juveniles who made the false report.
