YSU’s Davis leaving Penguin program

Three players will not return to the YSU Women’s Basketball Team next season.

Sophomore Shar’Rae Davis, a 2013-14 preseason All-Horizon League Second Team selection, is currently seeking a transfer. She missed the entire 2013-14 Sophomore season while dealing with medical issues. Davis started all 33 games her Freshman year, averaging 9.6 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. She was also a member of the 2013 Horizon League All-Newcomer Team.

Sophomore Taylor Hvisdak will also not return. The Lowellville product earned a scholarship as a Sophomore, after walking-on to the Penguin program for the 2012-2013 season. In 17 career games, Hvisdak averaged 1.1 points per game.

Finally, Sophomore Amanda Barger will depart Youngstown State after appearing in 36 games, averaging 1.9 points and 1.5 rebounds per game.
