Fire damages vacant duplex

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown fire investigators said a blaze at a duplex on the city’s North Side early Wednesday morning was intentionally set.

Firefighters arrived just after 2 a.m. in the 1300 block of Ohio Avenue near Tod Lane.

Flames were shooting from the first and second floors at the back of the house.

Firefighters said the duplex is vacant and that the gas and other utilities were shut off.

The fire caused about $10,000 worth of damage.

Crews were called to same property about one month ago. Little damage was caused by that fire, but it was also ruled arson.
