2 fires erupt in 2 days at same house

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown firefighters were back at a duplex on the North Side for the second day in a row to battle a fire.

Crews worked to put out a fire early Thursday morning in a garage next to a home on Ohio Avenue where a fire was put out Wednesday.

The fire erupted in the garage around 12:30 a.m. and rekindled around 3:30 a.m.

The garage contained furniture from the house. The structure and its contents sustained heavy damage.

The fire department said both fires were deliberate.

The house has been empty for several years and the gas and electricity is off.
