Anglers reel ’em in at Lake Glacier

More than 2,000 new rainbow trout are now calling Lake Glacier home.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – More than 2,000 new rainbow trout are now calling Lake Glacier home.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources stocked the lake in Mill Creek Park for the 2014 fishing season.

Dozens of anglers wanted to get a head start on the season, casting lines into the lake just after the release on Thursday.

Fishing is allowed on Lake Glacier and Lake Newport through Nov. 30.

“I’m here with my grandpa,” said Jason Fuese.

Fuese said he is excited to be at the lake this year, explaining that his grandfather took his brother last year.

“I just like the excitement, the thrill of fishing, pulling something in, getting the fish that you caught,” said Fuese.

A valid fishing license is required to fish at the park.
