KO Boxing crowns champions

The 27th annual KO Drugs High School Boxing Tournament came to a close Thursday night, with 27 champions crowned.

Around 50 of the best young boxers in Mahoning County battled it out at the North Lima Business Complex.

A total of 11 underclass and 10 upperclass titles were decided, along with three female championships, and three consolation matches.

Here are a list of several of the winners: James Defrank (Girard), Austin Piper (South Range), Portez Smith (Farrell), Jonathan Swoboda (South Range), Terrance Holloway (Farrell), David Syoc (Leetonia), Richard Palmer (Niles), and Haley Hall (East Palestine).
