Stainless steel stolen from Warren park

Warren, Ohio-(WKBN) –  At least $63,000 worth of stainless steel plumbing was stolen from a Southwest Warren neighborhood park.

Rhonda Bennet, who is a member of the Southwest Neighborhood Association that cleans the restrooms at Southwest Park, noticed that the restrooms had been broken into Wednesday morning and that several items were stolen, including two commodes, one sink, one urinal and five flush valves.

Bob Plant, an employee of the Warren City Operations Department, reported to police that an unknown person pried the locks off the restrooms and the area where the flush valves are located and removed them. All the items are stainless steel.

The restrooms have been closed up for the winter season.
