Ursuline routs JFK in first HS game at YSU

The Ursuline softball team blew open the first high school game at the new YSU complex, winning 19-0 over Warren JFK.

Ursuline’s Makayla Shore and Kara Gatta combined on a 1-hit shutout, striking out 12 of the 15 batters they faced. Megan Ross, Makayla Shore, McKenzie Stimpert, and Christina Xenakis each had two hits for the Irish (2-1).

Stimpert’s hits included a double and 3 RBI, while Xenakis & Shore each had 2 RBI. Dana Creatore tripled for the Irish.  Lizzy Kellar had the lone hit for the Eagles.
