HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) — A $3 million expansion has come to Hubbard.
On Friday, Evets Fabrication Services showed off its 22,000-square foot facility. It outgrew its old 17,000-square foot facility.
The company fabricates pipes for the oil and gas industry and started full production mode last week. It is already filling orders. Thirty jobs came along with the expansion, and the company is already thinking about more growth.
“As this develops, and I think it will, as we have a rail spur opportunity here. We have over 26 acres we can use for a laydown and storage, along with these facilities here,” said rex Ferry, CEO of VEC, Inc.
Evets is a subsidiary of VEC, Inc.
The company said easy access to Interstate 80 is one of the reasons it went with the property on Erie Street. The company invested some of its own money for the project, but also got a 75 percent tax break from Trumbull County commissioners.
