UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) – A western Pennsylvania woman was sentenced to six to 12 years in prison after she was convicted of kidnapping an infant by luring the mother to a suburban motel with a phony story about a commercial photo shoot for disposable diapers.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that 48-year-old Yvonne Bradley wept Thursday as Fayette County jurors convicted her of kidnapping, interference of custody and endangering the welfare of children, but acquitted her of unlawful restraint.

Bradley denied having kidnapped the child in July 2012 but apologized, saying “it was never my intent to hurt anybody.”

State police said Bradley lured the victim to a motel in Uniontown, about 40 miles south of Pittsburgh, and later took the child. Defense attorney Brian Salisbury unsuccessfully argued that Bradley planned to return.
