Liberty hotel back on auction block

LIBERTY, Ohio (WKBN) – For the second time in less than a year, the Rodeway Inn in Liberty is on the auction block.

The former Metroplex, 1620 Motor Inn Drive, was shuttered overnight in early March and all of the employees and guests were given only hours to leave the building. A day later, there was a fire in its laundry room.

Trumbull County to sue hotel owner

The owner put the business up for sale through an online auction in November, but the minimum asking price was never met.

Chartwell Auction is the broker. The latest auction is set for May 7 with a reserve price set at $995,000. Bidding starts at $735,000, according to the auctioneer’s website.
