VIENNA, Ohio (WKBN) — After more than nine months of renovations, the building that once housed the First Assembly of God at Vienna is now Victory at Vienna.
Music, praise and the word of God filled the room of Victory Christian Center’s newest campus. Now that the remodeling is complete, church officials invited the public to come take a tour.
“We’re just a group of people that believe that loving God, loving people, and loving life. And we believe we can make an impact on this city,” said Victory at Vienna pastor Harold Burgess.
Those who attended the opening of Victory at Vienna said that after completing renovations, they’re excited to host this grand opening celebration.
“This has been a dream for us, and it’s been a long time coming, and we are just super stoked about everything that’s going on and just to be here and be able to serve the Lord,” said Danielle Burgess, wife of Pastor Burgess.
For first-time visitors like Jennifer Orr, the church provided a different type of service.
“I liked it, I’ve never been to a church like this, I’ve been to a couple other churches, but, you know, most of them are kinda, I don’t know, but I like this one; it’s very lively,” said Orr.
“I think the biggest thing about Victory Christian Center’s people at the Vienna campus is we’re just family. It’s come as you are, you know it doesn’t matter what you dressed like, what you look like, even what you believe, you know this is a place where you’re welcome, a place that you’re accepted, and a place that you can be loved on,” added Pastor Burgess.
The celebration continues Monday night with a service that begins at 7 p.m.
