Man sentenced in rape and kidnapping case

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Cincinnati man will spend the next 28 years behind bars for sexually assaulting a Warren woman.

Kevin Johns, 23, was sentenced Tuesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on rape and kidnapping charges. He previously spent three years in prison for two different crimes in southern Ohio.

A jury found Johns guilty last month of rape, kidnapping and aggravated robbery of a 21-year-old woman on Kenilworth Avenue S.E. in Warren last April.
