Security company shut down, owner accused of fraud

Grogory Oakes charged with fraud with security firm.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Warren man who ran two security companies has been shut down and accused of forging documents to stay in business.

Gregory Oakes, who operated American Sentry and Delta Elite Security firms in Howland, was secretly indicted by a Trumbull County Grand Jury on 10 counts of forgery and 10 counts of tampering with evidence.

According to authorities, Oakes forged his certification after he had his license revoked for failing to pay his state taxes.  He pleaded not guilty Tuesday and was held on $5,000 bond.
