WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) — A 14-year-old Warren boy was found nearly naked and walking the street after he was attacked on the Warren bike trail Monday afternoon.
A passerby noticed Gregory Snyder walking and wearing little clothing in the 1100 block of High Street N.E. The woman told police she got out of the car to help him.
Neighbors provided Snyder with a blanket to cover up, along with some clothes. Snyder said he was walking along the trail near Charles Avenue and High Street when three suspects began punching him in the face and kicking him on the ground.
They stole his clothes and cell phone and then took off. His mother said he suffered a concussion and a bruised lip.
“I think it’s done more emotionally that he don’t even want to admit it to, but if somebody jumps you and takes everything but your shirt, how would you really feel?,” said Heather Long, the victim’s mother.
She said she is grateful to the people who helped her son.
“I never thought of nothing like that happening to my son, but it is great to know that there are still people out there that still care,” Long said.
Police have a few persons of interest in mind for the attack on the teen, but so far no arrests have been made. Snyder said he knew two of his three attackers.
