Dr. Shayesteh: Rev up your metabolism

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — A person’s metabolism is what controls weight gain and loss, so increasing your metabolism is an essential part of losing weight.

Dr. Shayesteh said the best ways to increase your metabolism are to exercise, eat high-protein foods more frequently, drink water and avoid crash diets, which shut down your metabolism.
