Man victim of brutal attack in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Austintown police are investigating an assault that left a man beaten and bloody on the northeast side of the township.

The man was found around midnight Wednesday in the 200 block of North Main Street, just off Four Mile Run Road.

A neighbor called police after spotting the man lying in the street.

When emergency crews arrived, they found the victim unconscious. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Police said the man was the victim of a brutal attack. A trail of blood was found outside a house, in a back alley and about a 100-foot radius around the victim’s body.

Neighbors told police they noticed two vehicles in and out of the driveway of the house. Police are not certain if the victim or suspects live at the house.

No suspects have been arrested.
